opportunity Academy is a youth leadership and development nonprofit based in San Diego Diego designed to equip metal in high school students, especially girls and youth the cross diverse life experiences with the tool support and opportunities to lead confidently and engage in their communities.
While athletic serve as one pathway to engagement, our model extends beyond sport to provide a holistic experience that integrate leadership development, social, emotional, and therapeutic support, civic engagement, financial literacy, and career exposure.
Through a cohort based approach, we intentionally create safe, inclusive spaces for young people build confidence, strengthen their voice and develop the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
We are currently in our pilot phase working with a small cohort of youth and a Founding group of volunteers. This early stage allows us to build with intention learned alongside our participants and development model design for long-term impact.
