Big ideas. real impact.
Why Opportunity Academy Matters
• 1 in 5 high school students experiences anxiety or depression, with girls nearly twice as likely as boys to report persistent sadness or hopelessness.
• Only 1 in 3 teens feel prepared for life after graduation, including finances, careers, and adult responsibilities.
• Youth with consistent mentorship and structured athletics are up to 40% more likely to graduate high school and show stronger confidence and emotional regulation.
Our Impact
What Impact Looks Like in Practice
As a pilot program, Opportunity Academy is currently serving a small cohort of youth while building a model designed for long-term impact and scalability.
In our current phase, impact looks like:
A structured cohort of youth participating in weekly athletic and leadership programming
Consistent engagement in mentorship, social-emotional learning, and service activities
Early exposure to financial literacy and career pathways
A safe, supportive environment where youth build confidence, voice, and identity
As we grow, we are committed to tracking measurable outcomes including:
Growth in confidence and leadership skills
Increased participation in school, athletics, and community engagement
Expanded awareness of career and postsecondary pathways
Long-term success beyond the program
Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, too many young people are told who they are before they ever discover it for themselves.
Opportunity Academy exists to interrupt that moment.
We use sport as the doorway, but purpose as the destination. For the boys and girls who walk into our programs, the field becomes a classroom, the team becomes a family, and every rep becomes a reminder that they matter.
For girls, Opportunity Academy is a place where confidence is built out loud. Where strength is celebrated, leadership is expected, and their voices are never an afterthought. We create spaces where young women learn they do not need permission to take up room, to compete, or to lead.
For boys, we redefine what strength looks like. We teach accountability, emotional awareness, and service. We show them that character outlasts talent and that true leadership is measured by how you lift others.
Beyond the game, we wrap every athlete in mentorship, mental health support, academic guidance, financial literacy, and service to their community. Because life doesn’t come with a playbook, and talent alone is never enough.
Our impact isn’t just seen on scoreboards. It’s felt in the confidence of a young person who finally believes in themselves. In the discipline that shows up in the classroom. In the courage to dream bigger than circumstances ever allowed.
Opportunity Academy doesn’t just build athletes.
We build belief.
We build leaders.
We build futures.
