Opportunity Academy was founded by D’Jay Scott, Visionary Founder & Executive Director, and Sarah Gogarty, Operational Founder & Chief Therapeutic Officer.

They built OA around a shared belief: potential exists in every young person, but access to opportunity is not equal. OA connects young people with athletics, mentorship, financial literacy, career readiness, social-emotional learning, and service so they can build skills, confidence, relationships, and a vision for life beyond the game.

D’Jay leads Opportunity Academy’s vision and direction. Through OA, he works to expand access to the relationships and experiences that help young people recognize their strengths and explore future possibilities.

Sarah Gogarty | Operational Founder & Chief Therapeutic Officer

Sarah leads the operational and therapeutic foundations of Opportunity Academy. Her role helps keep supportive relationships and young people’s well-being at the center of how OA delivers its programs.

Together, they are building an organization where young people can explore what is possible and grow with a community behind them.
